We were obliged to look for somewhere to eat in Pevensey, when it turned out that the kitchen at our hotel was closed (See review of The Bay Hotel). Of the restaurants we saw within walking distance, my wife chose this one, with no prior knowledge of the restaurant, but I noticed that it was quite crowded, which I took to be a good sign. It turned out that I was not wrong, the food and service were superb. I tried two dishes that I had never seen on a menu before. I could hardly have been more pleased with my choices. My wife also had one choice that was new to her, and shares my reaction. Her choice of main course was tandoori meats and she says that it was the best tandoori she has ever had. If we are ever in Pevensey again, we will go back.
great food, great service, stylish decor. You might not expect a restauarant this good tucked away in Pevensey Bay - but there it is.
'Weekday Evening Out'
Really lovely welcome and quickly shown to table. Decor very clean and stylish and waiters very attentive from start to finish. Dishes freshly cooked and great menu. Good choice of wines too. Monday night was quiet, with only 3 or 4 tables used, but we did not feel awkward to talk (2 couples in our party). Fabulous evening all in all and great Indian food with a fresh and different taste to each dish. Desert menu was extensive too but we were too full to eat any more.
'Very nice takeaway'
The receptionist at our holiday park recommended this restaurant . We opted for a take away as we had had a tiring day exploring the area. We was not disappointed and it was really tasty. I can recommend the chicken madras and the tandoori mixed grill. If I'm honest it wasn't the cheapest but well worth the money.
